We’re getting into winter holidays, so I will likely post infrequently between now and the start of spring semester. Before that break though, here are three brief notes in celebration of 6 months of blogging!
Firstly, a quick summary of the blog so far (updated as of 18 Dec 2018). Spatially Challenged has been viewed nearly 300 times! This is the 34th blog post, and I’ve had readers from 10 countries. The most popular page on this blog, other than the home page, is the About Me page. Second most popular is the FAQ page. Bike Routes and Selecting a Projection for Spatial Analysis are tied for most popular blog post.
Next, I wanted to share some ways to keep up with the blog. If you’re a WordPress user, you can follow the blog from your account. You can also follow the blog with an email address using the “follow” tool on the right side of every page except the home page. I’m also on Twitter (@EGmatcham)– occasionally I’ll link back to the blog, but most of my tweets are quick musings or field work photos.
Finally, here’s a sneak peak for 2019. I’m trying to get some guest bloggers for you to share their projects and expertise. If you do work relevant to this blog, get in touch if you want to be involved! This winter, expect some more posts along the usual data formatting/analysis line as well as some posts about citation managers and other writing tools. Do you want to make content suggestions for next year? Ask questions via comments or Twitter and I’ll try to get back to you!
Thanks for reading, and happy holidays!
