Tomorrow is my exit seminar and thesis defense, so this seems like the right time to post something fun. I’ve recently started reading Daniel Huffman’s blog, Something About Maps. He’s a cartographer whose maps are a perfect balance of educational, data-driven, and artful.
He recently made some maps using a typewriter– my personal favorite is the shaded relief map. You can see the maps and read more about his process here.
If you’re located in Columbus, OH and looking to learn more about terrain derivatives and their applications in soybean agronomy, my MS exit seminar is open to the public. It’s in 334 Kottman Hall at 10am on Friday, 8 March, 2019.
